Jordan Sands Opens Two Transload Locations in the Permian Basin
Mankato, Minn. – September 14, 2016 – Jordan Sands today announces that it has commenced sand transload activities in Monahans and Seagraves, Texas, located in the western part of the state.
“We’re excited to be able to provide our customers with significant sand inventory in locations that best service their needs,” said James Hallbeck, Jordan Sands Director of Sales.
In order to meet the increasing sand needs of customers, Jordan Sands will have substantial sand storage capacity at both locations. Seagraves will have over 10,000 tons of rolling and silo storage. Monahans will have 7,000 tons of dedicated storage. Jordan Sands has also partnered with a leading logistics and project management firm to provide services directly to the wellhead for those customers looking for additional value added capabilities.

Mankato, Minn. – September 3 2016 – Jordan Sands announces student Jaron King as winner for the third annual Mechatronics Scholarship with South Central College. Jordan Sands provides an annual $2,500 Mechatronics scholarship to one South Central College student each year. Mechatronics is a multidisciplinary degree that combines mechanical systems, electronics, fluid power, automation, and robotics.
“We are grateful for the generous support our students receive from the community,” says Tami Reuter, Executive Director of the South Central College North Mankato Campus Foundation. “Specifically, the Jordan Sands Scholarship provides a unique opportunity for a deserving student, who is studying in our Mechatronics program to be recognized for their hard work in and out of the classroom.”
This years’ winner, Jaron King, originally from Blue Earth, MN is currently a second year student at South Central College studying Mechatronics. In addition to attending school full-time, he currently is working almost 40 hours a week.

Jordan Sands Sponsors Governor’s Pheasant Opener
Mankato, Minn. – Oct. 8, 2015 – Jordan Sands, an industrial sand mining and processing operation based in North Mankato, is a Gold Sponsor of the Governor’s Pheasant Opener happening this weekend in Mankato. Jordan Sands is loaning part of its property north of Mankato for hunting groups in the Governor’s party with employees guiding the groups through the local prairie and farm fields.
